Mac OS X 10.6.8 Printing Issue, and a Fix!. It seems odd that I needed to do this, and I did not need to do it on my other Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 8.Updated August 18th, 2017. The first problem of the printer driver still applies, but it is not too serious for me since printing works fine if I change the driver to one of the two that work. It seems odd that I needed to do this, and I did not need to do it on my other Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 8.1 It is the second of these two problems which seems to have been solved by the big update to Windows 10 a week or so ago. I used Troubleshooting to repair Windows Update but the problem persisted. Update History shows that this update had been installed several times, but it always offered it in Windows Update. I did this several times leaving for it sometimes for long periods. Windows Update said it "needed to start a separate installation to complete this update." When I clicked "Install now" Windows update would hang and I had to quit it with Task Manager. When I ran Windows Update in Windows 10, I would always get a message that there was an update for "Microsoft Driver for HP Color Laserjet 2800 Series PS". I had to change the driver in Control Panel -> Devices and Printers -> (right click) Printer Properties -> Advanced from "HP Color LaserJet 2800 series AiO PCL6 Class Driver" to either "HP Color LaserJet 2800 Series PS" or "HP Color LaserJet 2820 AiO PS Class Driver".
The Windows 10 pro upgrade from Windows 7 Pro would not print from the default driver installed by Parallels Tools. There are actually two problems rolled up in this thread:-ġ.
